Happy Saint Valentine's Day Everyone!

First the Baas:

Though it is always nice to receive a visit from our woolly neighbours they can sometimes require a little encouragement to leave.

Snowscape
8 February 2009

video

With yet more snow forecast for tonight and virtually all of the UK expecting snow tomorrow it looks like the cold weather is here to stay for a little while longer. I thought that I would put together a few of my more recent photographs and share some of the snowscape with you.

I've had little inclination to write recently and I apologise to readers of RoYds for the delay in posting the next chapter. I promise to get my act together and post some more soon. Meanwhile, if you have a chance I would really appreciate it if you popped over to the WFG and took the time to rate the story there. It's easy to do, only takes a couple of seconds and you remain completely anonymous. With only eight votes so far the story is not appearing high enough in the listings to attract new readers and your rating would help to change this.

I'm off to catch up with all my chores now and I hope to spend most of this evening catching up with all your news.

Have a great Sunday!

Winter Palette
4 February 2009

The landscape is mainly white at the moment with more snow predicted to fall later today as well as tomorrow.

Walking through the dell this morning the melting snow combined with the birdsong and windchill to create an eerie soundtrack of drips, tweets, and wails.

For the past few years I have been complaining that winters have been too warm for this part of the country. Thankfully, nature appears to be back on track.
